CALLUS

Callus is caused by excessive production of keratin (hyperkeratosis) caused by pressure and friction over the area.

Treatment:

• Remove the cause of pressure or friction if possible
• Use mild abrasives such as an exfoliating sponge or pumice stone
• Protective padding to deflect pressures
